What is CBT?

The principle behind CBT is, all your thoughts, feelings and physical interactions are connected and play a major role in your everyday behaviour. If you have positive thoughts, it  may help you lead a good lifestyle, but in the same way, negative thoughts may have an adverse effect on the same and your health as well.

In CBT, I try to understand the actual reasons behind your present problems, be it feelings of low mood or stress and help you get over them. The idea is to help get over those negative feelings and replace them with positive ones.

What can CBT help you with?

CBT can help with a range of issues such as low mood feelings, stress, emotional trauma-related issues and more. You can contact me today to book an appointment.

I take a very practical approach in my therapy sessions. At our first meeting, we would discuss your problems including what might be the cause and create a case history of our discussion. Once that is done, I will start with the treatment.

I have been practising CBT for many years now and my aim has always been to help my customers. I also offer hypnotherapy treatment. If you have any queries, call me. I will be more than happy to resolve them.

How can CBT help you?

CBT has been shown to be an effective way of treating a number of different mental health conditions.

In addition to depression or anxiety disorders, CBT can also help people with:

bipolar disorder
borderline personality disorder
eating disorders – such as anorexia and bulimia
obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
panic disorder
phobias
post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
psychosis
schizophrenia
sleep problems – such as insomnia
problems related to alcohol misuse
CBT is also sometimes used to treat people with long-term health conditions, such as:

irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
fibromyalgia

Although CBT cannot cure the physical symptoms of these conditions, it can help people cope better with their symptoms.

However when having CBT and HYPNOTHERAPY sessions together the benefit is, I can also address and help you manage your physical symptoms as well.
